ahead of the line they take all they want without asking leaving you blind to pick up the pieces in passing ahead of the line they're taxing your time both day and night and all that you owe is everything you've got left inside and after they've owned you they're gonna kiss your ass goodbye ahead of the line people make decisions leave you feeling screwed ahead of the line some guy would kill his own people just to have the proof ahead of the line you just got to hope the sun shines down on you keep your head down watch another day pass right on through and after they've owned you they're gonna kiss their ass goodbye

tell me what you want to do all your dreams are mine tonight anything you want to do i'll adjust the lights i been watching on the hill waiting on the morning's tide everybody's got to live i just want to take a ride headed on the coast out of my mind need some time just to unwind nights turn into wasted days everything is down the line worlds are something in between life is just a jiggle in the fire everything is wasting away time's an overbearing urge everybody's walkin' out no one wants the pain to hurt headed on the coast out of my mind need some time, just to unwind never could you get enough you'd always be howlin at the moon every day you'd laugh along what else could you choose? now tell me what you want to do all your dreams are mine tonight anything you want to choose i'll adjust the lights headed on the coast out of my mind need some time just to unwind

night time is coming there's no use in struggling the day will just pass away midnight attractions our lives cut in fractions the pieces fall where they may down in the town there's a man underground who will tell you for certain your fate he's stuck over there with his unkempt hair his believers all sit and wait i'm still holding out for you girl i know that love's just a crazy dream so busy dreaming you started with scheming a way to do yourself in life can be simple but traps can be nimble they dance around draw you in i'm still holding out for you girl i know that love's just a crazy dream

Hey! 05:40
i used to dream that i saw you in the clouds when you weren't around and the days were long and the nights were drunk but filled with songs i kept my hands busy with the trench coat on still looking out for paradise but there's nothing out there but the deep blue skies hallways that are filled with regret what you can want you don't what you don't want you can't forget Hey! You could spend your life waiting the world is lost and it's hard looking up the game is bought and they won't give it up everything that's good is being thrown from the back of the train there's pirates waiting on a foreign shore but we can't really see them so we're not really sure its a long way from from freedom but no one's got the balls to change Hey! You could spend your life waiting i was riding high on a medical rush when i fell flat broke on my first big crush like a peasant boy i badgered her with words till she took me in and taught me a verse it was everything that a game should be just a winner, a loser, just her and me now i'm older and i know as much but i never forget that first real touch Hey! You could spend your life waiting she walks along in a golden dream with flowers in her hair and a silver ring all the boys in the park wanna hear her sing since that warm summer night in 1963 she's still there in a mystical way when the wind blows by you can hear her say that a song just ain't no song without a singer Hey! You could spend your life waiting in the night when the still moon speaks while they lavish you in oils, pull the weights from your feet now your fast and your form flies free to the places that you go when you know that you just can't be and there's nobody there just you and the sea and it calls you down for one quick swim but you hear the waves laugh just as they pull you in Hey! You could spend your life waiting the lines are drawn and there's no going back and some see the light while others see the crack but they're both just waiting on a big payday cuz a satisfied mind always walks away and it don't really matter what the other folks say you just try and make it square try and play them just like you're fair Hey! You could spend your life waiting

Walk 03:58
i don't know what gets caught out in the rough i can't believe there's so much of that stuff everyone else just looking down at the path i seriously don't know where their minds are at i don't wanna get ya same as if i let ya time is always with ya don't you know it's all a game nothing can change i don't know what's wrong with the shore but nothing less is nothing more i can always lose myself inside my dreams where nothing more is nothing gained i don't wanna see it, i can only be here wondering if its true dear or should i walk away? i don't know if it's even up to me i would like something to believe i'll take you and everything that you are it's better than waiting on a shooting star i don't wanna see it, i can only be here wondering if it's true dear or should i walk away?

Big Wind 02:27
well the stories in the night make your eyes so bright and the howling wind down by the riverside water so cold make a man lose a bet no matter how deep you go son don't you ever forget and its hard in the summertime to remember all that's come an gone with a storm blowing in winter is about to begin everything you hold sacred to your heart one day a big wind come along and blow it all apart oh i know that you don't wanna know when it's gonna come down oh i know
7.
lately i've been thinking about the end and the beginning and how it all went down some things never matter pieces tend to scatter no one ever bothers to hunt them down i've been living in a king sized bed my feet never touch the ground every night i open my eyes check my guns and have a look around i know it can't last all the dreams we tasted not a drop was wasted nothing ever fell from between our hands finding buried treasure, surviving wicked weather none can stop us now, they never could anyhow i've been living in a king sized bed my feet never touch the ground every night i open my eyes check my guns and have a look around i know it can't last whether king or pirate none can ever buy this stolen dream of eternity some men they go crazy others they get lazy watch the substance of their live's slip away day after day

i was at the height of my disillusion with everything philosophical and the written word i took my books and i threw them into the ocean got a ticket for littering $500 she said can we just sit and talk after we'd been out for a walk there's a lot of things i'm not sure i should tell you but she spilled her guts to me anyway she said "I know what you're all about so don't try anything or you'll look stupid I guess I could help you out but am I winning here or losing?" Later on there were many chances i tried so very hard not to fuck it up She said "are you some kind of cancer?" i said "Baby, I think you're my life saving drug" she said "I know what you're all about so Don't try anything or you'll look stupid I guess I could help you out but am I winning here or losing?"

Never Rest 04:57
Man, you don't come around and check us out anymore I remember the night that you were cold you had no money left oh don't you ever rest your heart oh don't you ever rest the sky is darker now than then eyes that we see through they don't look for the sun our bones get driven tired and sore words don't see their weight and the curtain falls oh don't you ever rest your heart oh don't you ever rest today i will be one of many that have come before or shall i sleep under the sun? appealing to their wounds might catch a falling tune oh don't you ever rest your heart oh don't you ever rest

about

I write songs here and there but once in a while I just know I'm writing an album, something with a common or relative theme or sense of itself as an album. I had that feeling back in February of this year and wrote songs till about the middle of June. The bedtracks were recorded on the Canada Day long weekend and a few more the next weekend. After that I completed them on my own, for the most part, at my home. Peace.
