about

recorded in the winter of 2003/4 at a friend's studio, Don't Get Comfortable was the first attempt I made at recording a full album with drums on it, the kit was recorded with 1 mic from across the room and I am no dummer that's for sure;) Inspired tho. At the time I was playing bass in the Poppies, which featured songs written by my very talented friend Jacob Marwood. Don't Get Comfortable represents a period of my life where there was much growth and experimentation as a songwriter. The album has a sound like each song is from a different album altogether. Some stuff just falls on its own ass and other stuff is great, the cheapest of recording equipment was used and things vary but this collection can almost be regarded as demos for future bands.
